Receiptique Privacy Policy

Receiptique is made by Next MVP Solutions LLC ("we", "us"). This policy explains what we collect when you use the Receiptique app, why, and the controls you have. The short version: we collect what the product needs to work, we don't sell it, and deleting your account erases it.

What we collect

• Account data — your name, email address, and sign-in identifiers (Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or email & password). Passwords are transmitted over TLS and stored only as secure hashes.
• App content — receipt and invoice images or PDFs, including a visible active-tab capture or receipt file you explicitly choose in the browser, plus the merchant, purchase date, total, currency, category, notes, source metadata, and the corrections you confirm. The browser extension does not read your browsing history, other tabs, or email. This content syncs to our servers so it's safe across devices and restorable when you sign in.
• Location — your connection IP address and IP-derived approximate location are processed for account security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting; Receiptique does not request GPS or precise location.
• Notifications — if you enable notifications, we process a device push token, device platform, app identifier, and app language so notifications can reach the correct installation. Notification preferences and local schedules remain on your device unless a feature explicitly says otherwise. You can disable notifications in the app or your device settings.
• Purchase status — whether you have an active subscription, processed by Apple/Google and our subscription provider (RevenueCat). We never see your payment details.
• Usage analytics — in-app events (screens viewed, features used) and crash reports, tied to a pseudonymous identifier, to improve the product.

AI processing

Receiptique uses AI models to power its core features: a receipt or invoice image/PDF is sent to OpenAI to suggest the merchant, date, total, currency, category, and related fields for your review before saving. AI requests are processed by OpenAI. OpenAI does not use API inputs or outputs to train its models by default. Under its default API controls, abuse-monitoring logs may retain request content for up to 30 days unless a stricter approved retention control applies. AI outputs are automated suggestions, not professional advice.

How we use data

To provide and improve the product, keep your content synced and recoverable, provide support, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate usage. We do not sell your personal data and we do not show third-party advertising.

Who we share it with

Only processors that run the product: our hosting provider (servers in the United States), OpenAI (AI processing), RevenueCat (subscriptions), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (crash reporting), AppsFlyer (attribution), Expo (push delivery), and Resend (transactional email). Each receives only what its function requires. We disclose data if the law requires it.

Retention & deletion

Your data is kept while your account exists. Request deletion in Settings → Delete account, then confirm the link sent to your account email. After confirmation, your account, saved receipt records, and uploaded originals are permanently removed. You can also email [email protected] for help.

Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit (TLS). Data is stored on access-controlled infrastructure, and content is tied to your account alone.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA and similar), you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete your personal data, and to object to processing. Deletion and access are built into the app; for anything else, email [email protected]. We don't discriminate for exercising your rights.

Children

Receiptique is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

International transfers

Our servers are in the United States. If you use Receiptique from elsewhere, your data is processed in the US with the safeguards described here.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we'll update this page and note the new date above. Continued use after a change means you accept it.
